"As reaching Mars becomes our next great journey, we felt a game that brought the challenges of space travel to life in a fun, engaging way would be a natural," said Michael J. Seagram, President and CEO of Aristoplay. "NASA estimates that a manned mission to Mars is feasible in the near future, around the year 2020. That's how we came up with the name for the game."

MARS 2020 players start out by deciding what role they will assume on the mission. You can select from a group of doctors, engineers, pilots, and scientists. The players move around the orbital path to be the first on Mars. Players encounter messages from Mission Control, which are often problems with the mission. In order to correct the "problem", the player must answer one of over 500 space-related questions. The final challenge is landing on Mars as it moves around the outer orbit of the game board.

Aristoplay combined unique spaceship game pieces and graphics to create a game that educates children with space facts. The children also learn the steps and thrills of space travel. By combining fun and education, kids get a real education on space flight in a fun way.

Aristoplay has a complete line of educational games featuring topics including geography, history, math, science, literature and the arts. All are based on the company's philosophy that children are more likely to open their minds to learning when it is presented in a fun, relaxed environment.

Suggested retail price of MARS 2020 is $30 and is available at major museum stores and specialty toy shops. You may also order MARS 2020 by visiting their web site at www.aristoplay.com or calling 800-634-7738.
